A Real-World Experience:
Implementing
Project-Based Learning
Online Workshop

On demand workshop to improve student learning and teach in a dynamic way!

If you’re a teacher, here are 5 things you might be experiencing:

✨You want more time to work with each student. You feel like you’re constantly helping students but it’s not enough time.
✨You know you have a wide range of students in your class and you just want to be able to reach all of them without planning different lessons or activities.
✨You want more time in the classroom to be able to do ‘fun’ and lighter activities - this could be crafts, or giving the students more reading time or baking.
✨You feel like the curriculum and worksheets are just not enough. You feel like you want more for your students but don’t know how to really have them work at a higher level capacity no matter their level (in other words, higher level according to their level).
✨You’re bored with your day to day. It’s the same thing day in and day out and you just want to incorporate engaging ways of teaching that doesn’t suck up your time.

Project-based learning allows you to differentiate, incorporate engaging learning, challenge students at the level their currently at, gives you more time and it is not supplemental!

I went into this workshop very interested in how to incorporate PBL into my second grade classroom. I was overwhelmed at first because there is a lot that goes into planning and implementing PBL, but as the workshop went on I saw that I can start off slow with my class and build up to a full project. Nancy did a great job at breaking everything down and answering all of our questions. She even had us get involved in planning a project and was there to guide us when we got stuck. I look forward to taking more workshops with her.

I learned a lot about Project Based Learning and it helped me to ease my worries about incorporating it into my own classroom. You made the steps easy and manageable.

After attending the PBL workshop you'll have:

  • Benefits of PBL

  • Step-by-step in implementing PBL

  • An opportunity to create your own project on the spot

  • Reflective opportunities of what's working and what can be enhanced

  • Tons of project ideas

  • Resources to guide you on how to create projects

  • More time and space for you

*Uplevel your teaching by implementing PBL to promote 21st century skills, such as critical thinking, analyzing, problem-solving and creativity.

*Use PBL to teach cross-curricular concepts - PBL isn't supplemental! It takes the place of traditional teaching.

*Students are learning in a dynamic and engaging way.

Gain access to the online on-demand PBL workshop, in which we'll explore the best practices and strategies for implementing PBL in K-12 inclusion classrooms. You'll learn how to design and implement PBL projects that engage students, foster creativity, reach each and every student no matter how they learn and promote deeper learning. We'll also discuss how to assess PBL projects and provide constructive feedback to students. In addition to learning and practicing the skills for creating PBL projects, you'll receive a free planning guide on how create projects. This session is interactive and you'll walk away with new ideas, skills and resources to help you plan and implement project-based learning.

The session will cover the following topics:

Understanding the benefits of project-based learning for K-12 students
Identifying the essential elements of an effective PBL project
Designing PBL projects that align with learning objectives and standards
Assessing student learning in PBL projects
Differentiating implementation based on students needs
Providing feedback to students that encourages reflection and growth
By the end of the session, participants will have a deeper understanding of how to design and implement effective PBL projects in their classrooms. They will leave with practical strategies and resources to help them get started with PBL implementation.

Here's why you should join:

Lack of engagement = Lack of motivation = Lack of success

The more students are engaged and motivated, the more success they'll have.

Project-based learning is student-driven, allows for all students to participate (struggling to the above average students), saves time for you to be able to do more in your class and with your students, which equals higher success rates.

Based on a recent study, both struggling readers and highly proficient readers who did project-based learning outperformed students who did not do project-based learning.

Here's what you'll get:

✨15 project ideas you can easily implement
✨On-demand workshop you can access anytime
✨Create a project-based learning project from scratch
✨Create projects that will engage and motivate your students
✨Turn your classroom into a place where students are fully engaged with the content
✨Create connections with teachers from across the nation
✨Walk away with tons of project ideas and resources
